Clear the pile, answer one ask, or keep the hour.
The article is yellow from top to bottom, and you still cannot say what you will do with it. You’re staring at the 12-page industry PDF you pulled up for this project, half your highlighter ink gone, all you have to show for it is a wall of neon that blends every key point into…
The todo app already has 60 lines, and you still keep a second list of “things I might owe someone.” You stare at the crumpled post-it tucked under your keyboard that has half-scrawled names and vague phrases like “follow up re: travel grant” and “ask Sam about the printer access.” None of these feel urgent…
The desktop has four files called “export” and the useful one is not the newest. You just spent 90 seconds clicking each open to find the one with the client feedback notes you took last Tuesday. Three of them are duplicate exports of the same product spec sheet you sent for review last week. The…
Receipts and half-sentences live under the trackpad, and the notes app still looks empty. You dig under the trackpad right now and pull out three crumpled sticky notes, a coffee receipt with a client call follow-up scrawled on the back, and a scrap of notebook paper with a half-written book title you wanted to look…

You stare at the latest ping, fingers hovering over the reply box, because you know if you type the walkthrough for setting up the shared drive again you’ll zone out mid-sentence. The half-empty cold coffee sweats on the…
The Q3 vendor addendum note exists, but the title is “notes 3” and search will not find it. You click into the note to scan the first two lines, squint, and confirm it’s the exact document the operations team asked for 10 minutes ago. The half-empty matcha latte on your desk is still warm, so…
A client mentioned the real pain point once, and the only copy is a two-minute memo you have not opened. You slide your mouse over the files folder right now, no tab shuffling, no prepping a fancy note first. The desk has a half-empty mug of tea and a single scratch pad next to your…
Launch feedback lives under five topic folders and none of them answers “what blocks the ship date?” You’ve clicked through each folder twice, scrolling 37 notes to pull 9 scattered snippets that still don’t add up to a clear answer. The open tab for your team sync is 4 minutes away from going live, and…
